It's War, let's treat it as one.

The country, its beloved politicians & we the people need to wake up to the fact that we are under attack.

Some thoughts,

1. The local police force should be freed from responsibilities of handling internationally organized terror networks. No point blaming the improvised, lathi holding, half pant, 2000Rs. havaldar to failing to protect us. He is not meant to.

2. Let's ignore the politicians & the government. They are busy doing what they do best. They need to be kept away from saving the country and just working on getting us light, road & water. We should be happy if they can do that.

3. Hope Javed Aktar, Geelani, Mahesh Bhatt's of the world can realise that the people of India needs to make a clear choice. Either you are with us or them. There is no in-between. Get on the bus or get the hell out.

4. Create a fund to pay for our own security, this should be a Private-Public enterprise to protect us. Atleast they will be independent from the vagaries of government, politicians & lawmakers etc. The "National Security Fund" should have a governing body, appoint a body to manage itself, make necessary investments & provide regular public updates on its functioning.

5. ATS needs to be completely over hauled by creating a centralized Agency(like FBI) & given full power to act across the country. Need to move the best people on the force to create a large 10,000+ elite task force to counter this menace.

6. Create a NSG like Police force for all the Metro's & 2nd level cities to handle crisis. These have to be specially trained to take care of such situations. They should be given the best weapons, best training to counter the most powerful of the enemies.

7. Create a list of vantage points across the country & provide a security blanket around these. Hotels, malls, Cinema halls etc. Have training programs to train the Private enterprises to become first line of defense.

8. Points of interests, anything with a security risk, SIMIs, Madarsas, Masjids, Abhinav Bharat, NEFA, ASU needs to be brought under scrutiny. The leaders of these have to be made accountable. Anyone withholding information related to natonal security needs to be take in.

9. Technology upgradation. It;s a dichotomy, we are supposed to be the bread basket of technology in the world, launching moon mission to find minerals remotely but can;t leverage it to provide intelligence support. Chatter on Voice & data networks need to be monitored. This is our only weapon against a unseen enemy.

10. The ATS should become part of an elite world force, who can co-ordinate a response to such events. The FBI, Russian FSB, Israeli Sayeret, MI-5 should create a joint response plan to any such international event.

11. The Mocca, POTA & the others need to overhauled to avoid any delays. There will be mistakes, innocents will get effected. But it is not a great prize to pay for the Nation;s security.

12. Fast track the Justice system to handle Terror. Execute swiftly.

13. We need to re-create the National agenda, revive the National pride & have a National goal. Every School child, college kid needs to go thru the Scouts, NCC etc. to revive the national idea logy, character, discipline, uniformity etc. The flag, National Anthem & Pledge needs to be relaunched with vigour. It's our identity. If ideologies can be taught in jungles of Kerela in 3 months, why can;t we teach otherwise in 15 years of school.

14. Ignore Pakistan. They are getting undue credit for lot of things & using it to extract its pound of flesh from the international committee. They are having the cake & eating it too.

It's time to strike Terror in the heart of these Terrorists. It;s war, let us treat it as one.
