To add a global context to the conversation, this whole episode has exposed how we as humans have evolved into a global community. The Butterfly effect is very measurable & visual now. Global organizations like the UN, WHO & Red Cross are more so important in tackling these kinds of scrouge.
We need to find the sources of these pandemics/epidemics like the Chinese wet markets, African hotspots & have a strategy to predict, treat & contain these at the onset. A joint global effort to find solutions, instead of each country trying to develop strategies, inventing tests, creating vaccines, etc. Finally, time to create a response task force to address these kinds of calamities, something like the UN Task keeping force. So far, the only successful global effort has been in information dissemination, which is also important.
Healthcare needs to be seen as a human rights issue. Death is a great equalizer.
