Singur

Mamata Banerjee has drawn the final straw. The proverbial one that will break the camel's back. She has manged to put herself & her party in a corner with no place to turn. If she wins, Bengal loses, else she loses, well she is lost. Bengal is on the threshold of joining the BHIMARU states or not.

For all the Literary legacy & Noble laureates & Misti Doi's, the politics of Bengal have, on the back of poor farmers & clueless union workers, held back the growth of Bengal for last 4 decades. Now following the departure of Red Dragon, the old brigade is trying hard to change its wrinkled skin. They have been on a world tour to garner projects that can leapfrog the state out of oblivion.

Whether Rata Tata stays or not is his prerogative as a businessman. But for Bengal it is a decision that will decide the next 1000 years. The question is not whether the so called unwilling farmers get back their piece of 400 acres, surrounded by a massive factory around it, it is whether they r able to see thru the whole game. We will have to wait & see how the hapless farmers are used by the politico's to further their own agenda.

This was a chance to be part of a world changing project. Nano is a cynosure of the world Automobile fraternity. It's success could decide the future of automobiles. Apart from that, Singur could have been the next model tonwship after Jamshedpur or Chinchwad, Pune. It has the potential of employing 1 lack workers. It has the potential to change the face of Bengal.

Mamata has lost anyways, let us see what happens to Bengal.
