To Test r Not to Test!

Scrap both 10th & 12th. Percentile & grades should be employed. These should be aggregateable at zonal, district, State, national levels. Every school should be able to maintain a history of a students progrress from KG to 12th, using uniform standards. These history should be transfereable across schools, anywhere in the country.

The variability of curicullum across states whould be limited to 15-50%, the rest should be Standard across country.

Schools should be able to help students decide their streams by 9th standard.

Eduation should be made free upto 12th for economically challenged. Vocational educations should start at 9th level, so that by 12th, everyone is employable.

Have a independently administered common exams like SAT, GRE & GMAT to grade/evaluate students. These should become the basis for college admissions. Let IIT, IIM continue their own selection process.

Air France regrets 'unfortunate situation' after Indians allege racial bias

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/4593339.cms

Most of the airlines are same, their priorities are to cut costs, they are not interested in serving you, unless you are in upper class. To be fair, Airport regulations & services are beyond Airline controls. Next time, try Emirates, Singapore or Air India, maybe you will get lucky. Having said that, can we please look at our airports. Dirty, pathetic infrastructure, rude service staff, touts/thief around. Imagine a foreigner trying to face a transit problem in Delhi/Mumbai. Instead of playing the race card every time, lets get some backbone, "Go Gandhi" on perpetrators, boycott them(economically) & bring them to their knees....it worked with the British, didn't it!!!
