Let's be realistic. Every war, clash, skirmish has an socio-economic angle to it, whether it was Nazi Germany, British, World War, Indo-Pak, Vietnam, Iraq etc. As long as there is a equitable distribution of wealth amongst the aggrieved & aggriever the balance will be maintained. When the balance shifts, the suffering group will attack the other.
There is a proof in history of this. Jews, Pandits, Bengalis owned all the business & wealth in Germany, Kashmir & Assam. The other fact is that migrants are traditionally more hard working, adapting & enterprising. This leads to their success in their place of settlement.
So this problem has nothing to do with MNS or Maharashtra. If millions of migrant labour lands up in Bihar & Uttar Pradesh, this whole thing will be repeated there. This is a social problem, the government needs to understand this & make sure there are employment opportunities & social development are being created across the country, so that in particular state, city, town doesn't become the panacea for another.
Making this a North/South issue is a work of vested interest in this whole drama. We should carefully consider the realities on both sides.
